European National Road Associations Forum

General introduction

The European National Road Associations Forum is an independent Forum dedicated to the European National Road Associations. Under the umbrella of the European Union Road Federation (ERF) - the Brussels Programme Centre of the International Road Federation (IRF-BPC), the ENRA Forum intends to be a unique platform offering the National Road Associations a large interactive space.

Objectives

In order to improve the general level of safety on the European Roads and considering the essential role of the National Road Associatons at national level, with the coordination of the ERF, the objectives of the European National Road Associations Forum are:

  • provide a European platform of dialogue and exchange of information for NRAs
  • compare national issues and challenges in terms of Road Safety policies
  • identify the major political and technical trends
  • share best practices and solutions
  • encourage and develop tools and programmes aimed at improving Road Safety in Europe
  • measure impact and results of national programmes on Road Safety Regulations

Activities

In order to achieve its objectives, the ENRA Forum carries out the following activities:

  • participation to relevant National and International events (e.g. IRF WRM Lisbon May 2010)
  • cross participation of the ENRA Forum Members to National Events
  • Information Relay in the national media
  • Publication of a directory (tbc)
